The Story Behind Fetchly LA
Fetchly LA officially launched on October 21, 2025, marking the beginning of a journey built on passion, community, and care. What started as a simple idea between two friends, Deagan and Nate, has now become a full-service pet care brand that blends compassion, reliability, and purpose. We wanted to create something that reflected who we are—two students with big goals, a love for animals, and a drive to make a difference in our community.
The vision for Fetchly LA came to life through a mix of necessity and inspiration. As students balancing school, work, and personal goals, we wanted to use our free time in a way that gave back. We both share a deep appreciation for animals and know how much trust it takes to hand your pet’s care to someone else. We wanted to build a service where pet owners could feel completely at ease—where communication is direct, service is personal, and every walk or visit is handled with genuine love and attention.
From the very beginning, our mission was about more than just walking dogs or checking in on pets. We wanted to create an experience centered on connection, transparency, and flexibility. Pet care shouldn’t feel transactional—it should feel like an extension of family. Every decision we’ve made so far has been guided by that principle. Whether it’s offering personal communication, flexible scheduling, or small extra touches like food deliveries and custom updates, we believe in providing care that feels human, not corporate.
Deagan, currently studying Film, has always been drawn to creativity and storytelling. Building Fetchly LA has been another way to create something meaningful, while also saving for the tools and materials needed to pursue his craft in the future. Nate, studying Environmental Studies, brings a grounded understanding of sustainability, health, and balance. His passion for nature and animals translates perfectly into our day-to-day work with pets. Together, we found a way to combine our interests into something bigger—a business that not only serves our community but also helps us grow personally and professionally.
We also wanted to redefine what local pet care could look like. Fetchly LA isn’t just a service—it’s a reflection of our values. We believe in giving every client individual attention, listening carefully to their needs, and providing a level of reliability that feels rare these days. We’re committed to being transparent about pricing, flexible with schedules, and understanding about last-minute changes. For us, it’s about building relationships, not just taking bookings.
Starting Fetchly LA has already been a learning experience, and it’s one we’re deeply proud of. Every day, we gain new insight into what it means to be responsible business owners, trusted caretakers, and members of a growing community. We’ve learned that consistency and care go hand in hand—and that trust is something you earn by showing up for people and their pets time after time.
Our long-term goal is to expand Fetchly LA into something sustainable and enduring. As our skills grow, we plan to offer even more services like certified grooming, training partnerships, and community outreach programs that help connect pet owners and local shelters. But no matter how much we grow, the heart of Fetchly LA will always remain the same: two friends doing something they love, staying true to their values, and helping people feel supported.
We’re thankful for everyone who’s been part of this from the beginning—the early clients, the families who trusted us, and the friends who encouraged us to take the leap.
